ABOUT ALIN WISHKA
Alin Wishka is an prof. actor from the Netherlands with almost a decade of experience in Film, TV and Theatre. He was a trainee at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles. He was also trained at different theatre institutes in Amsterdam, in classes such as Stanislavski, Theatre Acting, Improvisation and Film Acting.
He immigrated at the age of nine from Iran to the Netherlands, where he graduated for his BSc. in Marketing at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) in 2005 and received his MSc. in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2009, specializing in Film & Media.
Since his childhood Alin was fond of the performing arts and at the age of twelve he caught the acting bug when he performed a dual-part as a nosy journalist and an acrobat in an elementary school play. Next to his 'regular' studies, he went in pursuit of his passion at different arts and theatre institutes in Amsterdam, Los Angeles and New York City.
He has been on stage in theatre productions such as 'Farah Diba', touring across the Netherlands and has done TV & Film-appearances in productions such as: Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (TV series), Kamp Holland (Feature film), Danni Lowinski (TV series), A'Dam & E.V.A. (TV series), Floor Faber (TV series) and many TV & Online commercials for brands such as Heineken, Eurojackpot, Emirates Airlines, Ola Ice Cream, Philips etc. He is mostly known for his supporting role as 'Santos Harijan' in the 7th season of the hit crime-drama TV series : Moordvrouw (2018).
Alin also received a Best Actor nomination for his leading role in the short film Refugee (Dutch title: Vluchteling), in the 48 Hour Film Competition which was screened at the Nederlands Film Festival in Utrecht (2012).
